Sweden, Stenungsund

Report

In the third week of May, from Wednesday to Friday, we had our last exchange in the Brownfield Sites project. We were going to Sweden in April 2020, but our plans were flawed by the first corona wave. The hope of having a live exchange faded somewhere in early 2021, so we organized an online exchange in May. The Swedish partners have prepared an interesting program in which they have also included local politicians. The topic of the meeting was how to influence political decision-makers in the field of environmental protection. In addition, students in national teams made suggestions on what to do with the specific degraded area in Stenungsund, not far from the partner school. Czech, Estonian, Icelandic, Slovenian and Swedish students prepared interesting proposals, which were presented to the mayor and some other representatives of the municipality on the last day. In addition, they became virtually acquainted with the local environment, Swedish everyday culture, made chocolate balls and – ate them.
